Site Facilities

Access

1. Road to Kalessan :
Kalessan Land can be accessed by a government road (6m wide cement road) which means a guaranteed access forever for free (no access through someone else’s land).
2. Road inside Kalessan :
The road inside Kalessan is a private one (with its own chanote title). To guarantee all owners the right of way, your access will be mentioned on the back of the road title deed at the land office.
3. Drainage and storm water :
Torrential rain and flooding can be quite common in Thailand during the rainy season.
To avoid flooding of the properties, two underground systems will be created for the water to bypass houses and pour directly into the natural stream running along Kalessan land.

Utilities

1. Electricity supply :
Electricity poles are currently being posted along the governmental road.
Once it reaches the entrance of Kalessan (by the end of 2008), it will continue underground inside the property, to reach individual meters for each houses.
2. Water supply :
Two wells have been dug on Kalessan land, going as deep as 50m underground, and producing a minimum of 4,500 litres per hour thanks to their electrical pumps.
To ensure all year long water supply (even in the in the dry season), an underground 150,000 litre water tank will also be dug at the entrance.
Kalessan is a Franco-Thai joint venture founded in 2004 and based in Koh Samui.
